QUIET MIND

Quiet Mind is an anxiety tracking app designed to provide individuals with the necessary tools to manage their mental health. This app offers a comprehensive toolkit that fosters self-awareness and teaches calming techniques to manage anxiety and panic attacks. One of the standout features of Quiet Mind is its notification-free design, which promotes a healthy balance between technology and mental well-being. Unlike many other apps that rely on constant notifications and push notifications to keep users engaged, Quiet Mind offers a more relaxed approach. It is always there, ready to help when needed, but it doesn't push for addictive, constant use. The app's interface is simple and easy to navigate, making it ideal for people of all ages and technical abilities. Users can track their anxiety levels throughout the day, allowing them to identify potential triggers and take proactive steps to manage their mental health. Project partner: Kirstin Edwards

I/E ONLINE MAGAZINE

I/E is an online magazine created by myself and my project partner that aims to inform readers about environmental and social justice topics while inspiring them to live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. We are committed to supporting BIPoc writers and providing a platform for underrepresented voices to be heard. To create an online magazine that would resonate with our readers, we began by conducting a thorough research process. We spent time empathizing with our target audience and understanding their needs, which helped us to develop a user persona that informed the direction of our project. As we began to develop the magazine's identity, we identified key brand attributes that gave rise to various mood boards. By selecting a mood board that best reflected our values and mission, we were able to create a style tile that served as a foundation for the overall look and feel of the site. To ensure that our online magazine was user-friendly, we defined a user flow through the sitemap and tested it in mid-fi and high-fi. This helped us to identify areas for improvement and refine the magazine's design and functionality. Overall, we are proud to have created a magazine that not only informs and inspires our readers, but also serves as a platform for underrepresented voices. Through a thoughtful research process and careful attention to user experience, we have created a magazine that we hope will make a positive impact in the world. Project partner: Stefanie Hobohm
